AND FINALLY….
Belfast City Council has been roundly castigated for catching a dose of ‘Nimbyism’ by failing to release part of the North Foreshore for consideration as a site for an Energy from Waste facility.
As a phrase, ‘Nimbyism’, however, is so yesterday and we are grateful to Dr. Farry (All., North Down) for updating our lexicon after he accused the Council of going ‘Bananas’ – Build Absolutely Nothing Anywhere Near Anybody.
Sounds like something the Speaker’s Office would come out with in response to accusations about the leaden pace of Assembly proceedings: ‘Picnic’ - Problem in Chamber, Not in Chair.
