AND FINALLY….
The loss of MPs from Stormont doesn’t bode well for the quality of future debates. Yes the parties have their bright young things who can and will make a mark, but the MPs tend to have mastered the art of stringing coherent sentences together and giving way to interventions without losing their place in speeches written by staffers. It doesn’t sound much when put like that, but believe me, you’ll miss them when they’re gone.
One MLA though who you couldn’t possibly miss this week was Martina Anderson (Sinn Fein (Foyle) who decided the best way to light up the Chamber was to go for a striking outfit which the First Minister described as “day glo”.
Peter Robinson may have wished that he’d brought his “shades” to the House, but perhaps the lady’s choice of luminous orange is an indication that she wishes to resurrect her former job as head of Unionist Outreach in time for the marching season….
Why not leave a response?
